THE 1993 Dragons handed the 1994 Bulldogs their first loss of the tournament, 86-81, in Game 1 of the best-of-three Division 1 finals in the USC North Alumni Basketball Conference Summer League 2 Powered by Common Ground on Sunday at the USC North Campus gym.

The bruising big man combination of Bong Eleazar and Roy Jumao-as was unstoppable as they each tallied 33 points to give the Dragons the series-opening win.

Eleazar, a left-handed center, added eight rebounds while Jumao-as pulled down 14 boards and two blocked shots to put a halt to the Bulldogs’ nine-game winning streak.

In Division 2, the 1997 Ronins continued their impressive playoff run as they drew first blood in their finals showdown against the 2001 Lite Shipping with 96-79 victory in Game 1.
