Busy September for Global Cebu

GLOBAL Cebu FC has a stacked schedule for the whole month of September.

Global Cebu has a total of seven matches scheduled this month, five in the ongoing Philippines Football League (PFL) and two in Singapore Cup.

Global’s busy schedule kicks off with a PFL game against the Davao Aguilas FC on Saturday at the Davao del Norte Sports Complex in Tagum City.

They are at third in the current standings of the PFL with 29 points coming from eight wins, four losses and five draws.

Currently in second in the PFL standings is the Kaya Makati FC, which also has 29 points but has a bigger goal differential compared to Global Cebu. Leading the league are the Meralco Manila Sparks with 40 points.

Global Cebu will then host the Aguilas on Sept. 13 at the Cebu City Sports Center followed by a match against the Sparks on Sept. 16 at the same venue.

Global Cebu FC will then visit the Biñan Sports Complex to play against the Stallions Laguna FC on Sept. 20 before going to the Pana-ad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental to play against archrival Ceres Negros FC on Sept. 24.

In the Singapore Cup, the team plays against Hougang United on Sept. 27 and 30.
