Anne Curtis and Garry V lead EdukCircle Awards’ first batch of awardees

SEVERAL television personalities were recognized last Friday for the 7th EdukCircle Awards held at the AFP Theater, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

The EdukCircle Awards’ Instagram account (@edukcircle) posted the first set of winners yesterday, which included Gary Valenciano (Most Influential Male Concert Performer of the Year), Anne Curtis (Best Female Variety Show Host), Mel Tiangco (Best Female News Anchor), Mike Enriquez (Best Male News Anchor), Sandra Aguinaldo (Best Documentary Journalist), Jessica Soho (Best Magazine Show Host), Connie Sison (Best Health Show Host), and Gina Lopez (Best Environmental Show Host).

Curtis on her Instagram (@annecurtisssmith) expressed gratitude to the EdukCircle Awards body and said it is an honor for her to win the Best Female Variety Show Host this year.

“A big thank you to all the faculty members that voted for me. Maraming Salamat po! And to all the students that were there today, you were all awesome! Remember what I said, keep DREAMING BIG,” the Kapamilya actress said on her Instagram post.

According to www.edukcircle.com, Dir. Alexander M. Baltazar, chairman of the EdukCircle International Center for Communication Studies (ICCS) founded the EdukCircle Awards in August 2011.

This aims to recognize personalities who have contributed to the Philippine television. Jury includes deans, academic chairs, school officials from different schools in the country.

Another post made by The EdukCircle Awards on Instagram (@edukcircle) other winners like Most Influential Love Team of the Year and Most Outstanding Teen Artist of the Year will be announced on September 23.
