BATO’S CLAIM

Netizens were skeptical about Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald dela Rosa’s claim that a lot of countries around the world are copying the Philippine campaign against illegal drugs.

Dwayne Mc CoCanz said, “It is true that the PNP has done a lot. They’ve jailed drug traffickers but many have been killed. Worse, the problem on illegal drugs is still here. It’s even getting better. There’s nothing to be proud, really. We must unite in fighting illegal drugs. Enough with mere words.”

Socorro Lienaw also commented, “Show the public concrete proof of these country’s admiration and approval of your war on drugs. Show us letters of commendation, congratulatory messages so we will believe you.”

Joe Manalo said Dela Rosa should crack down on errant cops. “Stop all those ‘ninja cops’. Don’t turn a blind eye on incidents involving police officers who go beyond the law during anti-drug operations.”
