POISED to become one of this year’s hottest films,“ Crazy Rich Asians” is causing much excitement, and rightly so.
One, it hasb een 25 years since a major Hollywood studio released an English-language film with a primarily Asian cast.
Also, it features a number of seriously rich and extravagant fashion moments that’s sure to dazzle the big screen.
The film is based on Kevin Kwan’s best-selling book about a Chinese-American woman who gets a culture shock when she meets her boyfriend’s family in Singapore.
At the Los Angeles premiere of the opulent romantic comedy last Aug. 8, the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood was a veritable showcase of opulence and high fashion.
The cast, including Constance Wu, Henry Golding, Awkwafina, and Michele Yeoh showed off their haute couture on the red carpet.
Actress Michelle Yeoh succinctly describes the moment: “Well you know, we are promoting a movie called ‘Crazy Rich Asians,’ right?
It’s very much about the fashion, the jewelry, the watches.”
The cast looked crazy glamorous, don’t you agree?
