THE FUSION BPO Services Dragons put a stop to a four-game losing slump with a 90-81 win over the Wipro Tigers in the Elite Classic division of the Tanduay Athletics E-Leagues for Basketball last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Gym.
Nino Belande nearly got another triple-double with 23 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. He also got plenty of help from 6-foot-4 Nigerian, Mark Egbe, who scored 23 points and grabbed 11 boards.
The win helped Fusion go up to 4-9 (win-loss).
The Tigers dropped to 2-7 in spite of the 20 points of former University of San Carlos standout Jam Ferraren.
In the EVO League, the JP Morgan Chase Bankers routed the Shearwater Health Crusaders, 83-58, while the SSI/Research Now Warriors destroyed the Streamline Kangaroos, 89-60.
The Results Manila Spartans completed the trio of lopsided match with a 69-56 win over the Optum Knights, 69-56.
James Patrick Bactol led the Bankers to their seventh victory in 10 matches with 23 points.
SSI improved to 4-6 as Jose Carlo Amimita, Russef Pananganan, Zeke Walfred Espejon and Karl Michael Rubica all scored in double digits, combining for a total of 52 points.
Results Manila, meanwhile, nabbed their seventh victory in 10 matches behind the 25-point output of Jade Seno. Power forward Armalon Fernandez also got 11 points, 11 rebounds, a whopping seven blocks and two assists.
