UNIVERSITY of the Philippines (UP) hero Paul Desiderio may have gotten all the headlines with his surprise selection as the fourth pick, but three other Cesafi products also made the cut as they, too, got tapped in the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft last Sunday at the Robinsons Place Manila.

NLEX picked former Ateneo de Cebu big man Kris Porter as the 16th overall pick while ex-University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancer Ron Dennison was selected as the 23rd pick by Phoenix.

Former UV banger Edrian Lao was also selected 27th overall by Northport.

The 6-foot-4 forward who is currently playing for the Cebu City Sharks felt relief when he heard his name called by Northport head coach Pido Jarencio.

“Tanan kakapuy, tanan kakulba nawala when I heard my name called. I felt very nervous and excited at the same time. I couldn’t believe that I got picked!” shared Lao.
