Cebu City, Philippines — Cebuana singer Golden Cañedo’s first original single, “Tayo Pa Rin,” was finally released on March 30, 2019 on GMA Music’s YouTube channel.
Cañedo shared the good news on her Instagram account the same day the music video was released.
“Thank you Lord for all the blessings na binigay niyo po sa akin,” the 16-year-old singer from Minglanilla, Cebu said.
She thanked GMA Music, GMA Artist Center, and GMA Network, who gave her the opportunity to showcase her talent.
The Cebuana singer also expressed gratitude to her music video partner, Kapuso actor Nikki Co.
“Ganda ng video. And of course, ang galing mo. See you soon,” Co replied to Cañedo’s Instagram post.
“Tayo Pa Rin” is directed by Miguel Tanchanco. The song is also available on Spotify, Apple Music, and all digital stores nationwide.
Cañedo rose to fame in September 2018 when she was named as the first grand winner of “The Clash”, a singing competition in GMA Network.
“The Clash” was hosted by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez. Judges in the competition were Christian Bautista, Lani Misalucha, and Ai-Ai delas Alas.
On October 16, 2018, she signed a contract with GMA Artist Center.
Cañedo also had her acting debut on October 20, 2018, for an episode of the real-life drama anthology, “Magpakailanman,” which featured her life story. /bmjo
