Cebu City, Philippines — One of the targets of a raid last July 2018 that led to the killing of four-year-old Bladen Skyler Abatayo was arrested Wednesday morning, April 3, 2019.
The Pardo Police Station, led by Chief Police Major Inspector Regino Maramag Jr., arrested 30-year-old Ronald “Bulldog” Mejias in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Guadalupe.
Maramag Jr., said Mejias was one of the subjects of the raid where the 4-year-old Abatayo was killed by a stray bullet on July 10, 2018 in Sitio Bato in Barangay Ermita.
Maramag said that the suspect was in hiding since the controversial incident.

“Nisibat siya kay gitarget na siya sa Carbon Police Station,” said Maramag.
(He left because he was already the target of the Carbon Police Station.)
Mejias was arrested with his live in partner Melanie Villarino and his suspected cohort Melvin Daclan.
Seized from them were an estimated P200,000 worth of illegal drugs and a .45-caliber pistol.

Maramag said that Mejias is a suspected freelance gun-for-hire and confirmed that he is a drug pusher.
He clarified, though, that Mejias has a boss that supplies him the drugs.
“Actually boundline ra siya, naa pa siyay boss,” said Maramag.
(He is only a boundline, he still has a boss.)
Also, Maramag said the firearm that was confiscated from him will be subjected to a ballistics test to help police find out if it was the gun that killed Abatayo. /bmjo
