CEBU CITY, Philippines — Jai Shane Cañete, the founder of Teatro de Santa Fe based in Santa Fe, northern Cebu, said that they will present “Gugma sa Langit” on April 20 at the Santo Niño Roman Catholic Parish plaza.

“We planned to bring back the passion play in 2020, but the parish community is eager to have it this year. I have hesitations to do it this 2019 because of some commitments but God planned this to happen this year,” Cañete said.

The group’s last performance was in 2016 when they presented, “Ang Tulo sa Maria sa Kalbaryo.”

“Nabalik siya tungod sa dakong pasalamat for the blessings. Like kuya Lemuel (Rosos) for winning Sinulog ug sa akoa sad,” he said.

(We agreed to do the play again as a way to say thanks for the blessings that we have received such as Kuya (Rosos) and my winning in the Sinulog.)
