Firefighters take almost six hours to put out Mandaue fire

Mandaue City, Cebu — It took firefighters almost six hours to put out a fire that broke out in a garments factory in Lopez Jaena Street, Mandaue City on Tuesday night, April 9, 2019.

The fire bureau declared fire out at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday,  April 10, 2019.

The Mandaue City Fire Station received the fire alarm at 9:29 p.m. of Tuesday. It was raised to  second alarm at 9:39 p.m.

The fire was declared confined at 9:53 p.m, meaning the fire wouldn’t be able to affect the neighboring structures.

The investigator on duty, Senior Fire Officer 1 Edson Dapal said that the estimated coast of the damage due to the fire is at P1.3 million pesos.

Luckily, nobody was hurt in the fire.
