Fire department declares Subangdaku fire ‘confined’

MANDAUE CITY, CEBU, Philippines — The fire that struck a residential area on Lopez Jaena St., Barangay Subangdaku is now confined within the area of the affected building.

Fire Officer 1 Rosend Antiporda said a confined fire means that it will no longer affect the neighboring buildings or structures.

The Mandaue City Fire Station received the fire alarm at 9:29p.m. The second alarm was raised at 9:39p.m.

The fire was declared confined at 9:53 p.m.

Authorities are still in the scene investigating the cause of the fire. / celr
