CEBU CITY, Philippines — A week after the implementation of a stricter “stay-home Sunday,” police in barangay Guadalupe here noticed a more compliant public.

According to Police Major Janelito Marquez, the chief of the Guadalupe police, only seven individuals were apprehended for violating health protocols in the village on Saturday, January 30, 2021. This is a huge improvement from the 47 nabbed on Friday, January 29.

Police in the area are implementing stricter health protocols in an effort to contain and prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the village.
