CEBU CITY, Philippines— They say communicating is easy.

To some, it may be like a walk in the park but to others, it can be a little challenging than that.

There are a lot of things that can cause people to make communicating hard, one of which we call it barriers.

Want to know what these are? Read on.

Blame game — it is hard to communicate to someone if that person can easily point the finger to you or even to themselves to take the blame and disregard further communication.

Over it — shutting down communication lines or opportunities because you are over it, and not being able to be fair to the other person involved. You try and isolate yourself from the conversation which only makes it worse.

Labeling — calling out names out of anger and spite can cause pain and frustration. This makes it easier for the other person to not communicate at all.

Shame — you are ashamed of the things you did or did not do that is what is keeping you away from the fact that you need to get it out through communication.

Nerves — your nerves can really get the best of you. If you don’t brush off your nerves, you will never learn to communicate, rather you learn to wallow in your own corner of emotions.
