CEBU CITY, Philippines — At least 130 individuals were apprehended while 18 minors were rescued by police here during the Fiesta Señor’s Oplan Bulabog on Sunday, January 16, 2022.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Allan Rosario, officer-in-charge of the Cebu City Police Office’s Police Community Relations (PCR), said that of this number, 92 were caught for violating the curfew ordinance of the city while the rest were for not wearing face masks.
Cebu City has implemented new curfew hours which is from 11 pm to 4 am since January 14, when the city was placed under Alert Level 3 by the InterAgency Task Force (IATF).

With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Cebu City, Rosario said that they intensified their monitoring not only in the main thoroughfare, but also in the interior portions of the city to ensure compliance with health protocols.
Based on the case bulletin of the Department of Health in Central Visayas, Cebu City, on Sunday, logged 477 new cases. Cebu City now has 2,546 active cases.
Rosario hopes that with the assistance of force multipliers, they will be able to continue their strict implementation of health protocols to avoid another surge of COVID-19 cases.
In the past days, police said an average of 120 violators are caught from the Oplan Bulabog operations.
