MANDAUE CITY, Cebu—Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes on Monday, February 14, 2022, said he will be lifting the city’s curfew after the entire island of Cebu was placed under Alert Level 2.

The city’s current curfew is from 11 p.m to 4 a.m.

Cortes said he will be releasing on Monday an executive order about the Alert Level 2 guidelines.

Malacañang on Monday announced that the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF) has recommended putting the entire Cebu, including the cities of Cebu, Lapu-Lapu, and Mandaue, under Alert Level 2.

Mandaue, together with the rest of the island, was elevated to Alert Level 3 last January. At that time, Cebu was experiencing a spike in COVID-19 cases.
