CEBU CITY, Philippines – Reelected Cebu Vice Gov. Hilario ‘Junjun’ Davide III took his oath for another term at the Capitol on Wednesday, June 29.

Davide was sworn into before Danao City Vice Mayor Ramon ‘Nito’ Durano III. He was accompanied by his family, including his father, former Chief Justice Hilario Davide Jr.

The oath-taking began with a thanksgiving Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Felipe Bacalso, Rev. Fr. Mario Villacastin, and Rev. Fr. Narciso Cellan.

This is Davide’s second term as Cebu’s vice-governor. During the May 9 polls, he teamed up with former Tourism Sec. Ace Durano for the gubernatorial race.

Davide, who ran under the banner of the Liberal Party (LP), won against his challenger, Dr. Tess Heyrosa, who is the running mate of reelected Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia.   /rcg
