Cesafi: Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges of Bogo is 11th to become a member school

CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges (CRMC) became the 11th member school of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi).

This was officially announced on Friday, August 25, 2023, by the Cesafi board after approving CRMC’s application through a board meeting earlier this week.

The announcement came a day after the Cesafi board welcomed another new member school, the Felipe R. Verallo Foundation College Blue Dragons. 

Both CRMC and the Blue Dragons are based in Bogo City, north Cebu. 

According to the Board, CRMC met all the requirements to pass the application.

Before these two Bogo-based schools joined, a Cebu City-based school, the Benedicto College also applied and got approved by the Cesafi board to join the multi-sporting meet.

CRMC already revealed the sports events they’ll be competing in the 23rd season of Cesafi which kicks off in September.

They will compete in the men’s basketball, so as putting up teams in volleyball, badminton, and chess among others according to the Cesafi board.  

They will go up against athletic powerhouses in University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers, University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters, University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USPF) Panthers, University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars, the returning Southwestern University-Phinma Cobras, University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors, the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats, and the University of the Philippines Cebu.
