How four-vehicle smashup happened
Quoting initial findings from traffic investigators, Lauron said all vehicles were traversing the northbound lane of the highway in Brgy. Carreta.
However, the traditional PUJ reportedly lost its brake and crashed into the rear of the tourist van in front of it. In turn, the van crashed onto Tampus’ motorcycle, causing the motorcycle driver to lose his balance and to crash into the vehicle in front of him — a trailer van.
Tampus and his motorcycle landed right underneath the trailer.
He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital after sustaining injuries in different parts of his body.
