THE KERAMIX Mixers announced their entry into the PBA D-League in rousing fashion as they decimated the MP Hotel Warriors, 87-60, in the opening day of the Foundation Cup yesterday at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City.
Former M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Niños guard Jeff Viernes scored 20 points as the Mixers pushed the pedal to the metal from the get-go and never looked back. Keramix was already ahead, 23-6, after the opening stanza. They pushed their lead to 41-19 at halftime and coasted to the victory.
Raymund Jamito and Michael Digregorio also had 14 apiece while Jiovani Jalalon flirted with a triple-double as he had 12 points, seven boards and seven dimes.
But while Keramix had an astounding debut, fellow newcomer Livermarin fell by the wayside as they got beaten by the AMA University Titans, 81-89.
Jerramy King stole the show with an all-around performance of 24 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals even as former San Beda bruiser Jay-R Taganas imposed his will down low with 19 points and 19 rebounds.
