CEBU CITY, Philippines— The Jun Olis trophy will go to the champion of the annual Cebu Executives and Professionals Chess Association’s (CEPCA) 33rd Anniversary Tournament billed as the 4th Engr. Boy “Chessmoso” Pestaño Memorial Chessfest.
The said event will be held this Saturday at the Cebu Chess Club in Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
The Jun Olis trophy is in reverence to Cebu chess patron Apolonio “Jun” C. Olis Jr., a staunch supporter of chess diehard Cepcan who passed on October 8, 2023.
