CEBU CITY, Philippines — Local boxing takes an interesting twist as five ARQ Boxing Stable warriors will be featured in a rare collaboration fight card between Omega Boxing Gym and ARQ Sports on October 28, 2023, in Tuburan town, west Cebu.

The nine-bout card will feature ARQ Boxing Stables’ prospects headed by Ramil Macado along with Berland Robles, Rodel Wenceslao, Ian Paul Abne, and Riel Gabunilas.

The unbeaten Macado will face Mike Kinaadman in a six-rounder bout in the flyweight division.

Macado has a 7-0 (win-loss) pro record with three knockouts, with Kinaadman as his toughest opponent to date. Kinaadman, a journeyman has an 8-21-2 (win-loss-draw) record.

Unlike Macado, Kinaadman has been on a four-fight losing spell since 2022.

Still, an experienced opponent like Kinaadman is never to be taken lightly, a perfect acid test for Macado who is groomed to be ARQ Stable’s future world boxing champion.

Meanwhile, Berland Robles (9-0, 4KOs) who is also unbeaten takes on veteran Renoel Pael (23-14-1, 12KOs) in an eight-rounder bout in the undercard.

Ian Abne, the younger brother of OPBF champion April Jay Abne squares off with Jeven Villacite in a 10-round duel under the minimumweight division.

Abne is undefeated at 9-0 with four knockouts and one draw, while Villacite has a 6-5-5 card with one knockout. This will be their first 10-rounder bout.

On the other hand, ARQ’s lone welterweight prospect, Rodel Wenceslao (19-19-2, 8KOs) will fight Ryan Maano (6-17-2, 2KOs) for eight rounds.

Also, Riel Gabunilas (2-0) locks horns with Rustom Sario (2-2) for six rounds.

Also featured in the boxing card are Omega Boxing Gym’s Benny Canete, Mark Vicelles, Ramil Roda, and Japanese Kakeru Mashimo.  /rcg
