Reports suggest that the truck lost its brakes upon reaching the area, hitting the vehicles in its path. Barangan’s passenger and three individuals from the automobiles also sustained injuries in the crash.

Aside from the collision, the truck also damaged an electric post and a water pipe. A witness reported the truck was traveling at an excessive speed, crossing into the outer lane and striking the vehicles.

Noel Pedrida, the truck driver, has been detained at the Minglanilla Police Station.

Glenn Antigua, head of Minglanilla Traffic Command (MITCOM), highlighted previous complaints about similar vehicles engaged in reckless driving. MITCOM will collaborate with the Minglanilla Police Station for a thorough investigation into the incident. /clorenciana
