Family, friends bid farewell to ‘Jaguar’; media barred

Burial of suspected druglord Jeffrey “Jaguar Diaz from San Nicolas Parish to Calamba cemetery.

FAMILY, friends and supporters of suspected slain drug dealer Jeffrey ‘Jaguar’ Diaz attended his burial at the Calamba cemetery Monday afternoon.

Most of them wore black shirts with his face and the words “Jeffrey ‘Jaguar’ Diaz, We Will Miss You” printed on it.

A funeral procession was held from his house in Barangay Duljo-Fatima going to San Nicolas Parish in Barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City accompanied by a drum and bugle corps.

A Requiem Mass was held at 2 p.m. but local media were barred from entry. The gate was secured by ronda tanods of barangay Duljo-Fatima and some of Diaz’s supporters.
