Mr. Coffee Football Cup Aug 20-21 at DBTC field

ALL IS set for the Mr. Coffee Football Cup slated Aug. 20 and 21 at the Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) football field in Barangay Punta Princesa in Cebu City.

The tournament was launched yesterday at the Mr. Coffee outlet in Mango Avenue headed by Mr. Coffee owner Jerome Villordon.

Villordon said one of the goals of this tournament is the re-branding of their coffee shop, which has been operating for eight years now. The other goal is to raise funds for the Don Bosco Magony boys home in Liloan town, north Cebu.

“We want this to become a yearly tournament and draw more teams in the near future,” Villordon said.

Backed by the Don Bosco Alumni Football Association, the tournament will have mixed under-7, mixed under 9, boys under 13, boys and girls under-15, boys and girls under-19, the men’s and ladies open and the 38-above divisions.

Villordon also said their group wants to conduct a street soccer tournament in the future.
