CHRISTIAN Bautista has been engaged to his non-showbiz girlfriend Kat Ramnani since November last year.
Bautista, who was in Cebu City last weekend for the “Three Stars, One Heart” concert together with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Julie Anne San Jose, got a relationship advice from no less than the Asia’s Songbird herself during a press conference at Laguna Garden Cafe in Ayala Center Cebu.
“Kasi ‘yung asawa ko, ang feeling niya ang role niya sa buhay ko ay patawanin ako. So kahit galit ako sa kanya patatawanin niya ako,” she said.
Velasquez-Alcasid has been married to singer-composer Ogie Alcasid since 2010.
The couple has a six-year-old son named Nathaniel James.
“So, it’s wonderful to be, you know, to be with someone like that (funny). Eh si Christian naman, nakakatawa to eh. Buti na lang,” she added.
The Asia’s Songbird stressed the importance of sense of humor in a marriage.
“Kasi, feeling ko lang, pag every day kayo magkasama … merong mga point na gusto mo na siyang saksakin. Alam mo ‘yun. May mga point in life na umaabot ka dun na sino ba tong katabi ko!” she said.
Regine believes that when a couple has a great sense of humor they can just laugh at everything.
“Even ‘yung mga arguments— kami ng asawa ko pati away namin comedy. By the way, it’s wonderful to be married. Masarap magkaroon ng asawa provided you are with the right person,” Velasquez-Alcasid said.
