Player profile: Jim Paul Amistoso of the UV Green Lancers

Jim Paul Amistoso is a basketball player who is a member of the many-time Cesafi champion University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers.
Amistoso is a true-blue Cebuano, who hails from Bogo City in the northern tip of mainland Cebu.

He is taking up tourism management at UV.
As of this posting, the 5-foot-7 Amistoso is 24 years old.
He said he started playing basketball at the age of eight, adding that it was really his passion.
He pursued his passion for basketball as he also needed it for his education. He wanted to be part of the varsity team to get a scholarship.
His ultimate goal is to be able to play in professional leagues and more importantly be able to finish his studies.
Amistoso said he looks up to Kenneth Brillo as a basketball player.
His message to young student-athletes: “Work hard, trust in God’s timing.”
