The three children whose mother was bludgeoned to death with a hammer by their father will be turned over to the Cebu City Hall’s Department of Social Welfare and Services (DSWS).
DSWS chief Dr. Ester Concha said she was asked to take custody of the children by Insp. Ariza Otida, chief of the Cebu City Police Office’s Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD).
Concha told reporters the minors will undergo stress debriefing.

Police said the 6-year-old son witnessed how their father killed their mother then killed himself afterwards.
“Dili nato maapil ang kinamanghuran kay two years old pa man wala pay buot. But iapil nato og endorse pero ato siguraduhon ang duha ka maguwang (We can’t include the2-year-old, she’s not yet aware of what happened. But we will endorse her. we’ll make sure to include the two older children,” Concha said.
