The “Enteng Kabisote” family
VETERAN actor and TV host Vic Sotto is hoping to get a spot for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival through the new storyline of the 10th sequel of
“Enteng Kabisote.”
Vic promised that the return of the fantaserye film will be equipped with new storyline unlike its previous productions for nine years.
The new film will be entitled “Enteng Kabisote and the Abangers.”
Based on the Facebook Live feed of Biance Rose Dabu of GMA News, Vic revealed that they already made a story conference for the new film last Wednesday, August 10.
“Sabi ko, kapag gagawin ulit natin ‘yong Enteng, kailangan iba, bago,” he shared when he was asked what made him decide to revive the popular movie serieal, which was shown in MMFF 2012.
“Ayaw ko nung mga dating gawi, mga nagawa na namin. Siguro sa dami na ng episodes, halos lahat ng kalaban nakalaban ko na, lahat ng show ko napatay ko na, pero si Epy (Quizon) lang ‘yon, ilang beses ko na napatay ‘to,” he said.
Vic said the movie will revolve around the usual plot where Engkantasya (the world of enchanted beings) will have a problem and only a normal person-turned-hero can save them.
“I can assure you na ito ay bago. Ang luma lang dito ay si Jose (Manalo) at saka si Wally (Bayola). Kaya nga I’m very excited to work with the new members of Enteng Kabisote,” Vic said.
New members of the cast include Ryza Cenon, Bea Binene, Ken Chan, Cacai Bautista, Atak and Alonzo Muhlach.
The new installment “Enteng Kabisote” will be directed by Tony Reyes and Marlon Rivera.
