A boyhood devotion to the Sto. Niño made it easy for Michael Rama to take on the role of overall chairman of the annual Sinulog. He’s been doing it since he was elected vice mayor in 2001. With a whistle in his pocket, he enjoys walking down the entire 6-kilometer parade route before the Sunday parade to check if all things are ready.
