RUNNING enthusiasts clad in symbolic pink race shirts will converge at Cebu Business Park for today’s 10th Pink Run that will start and end at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.
Around a thousand runners are expected to answer the starting gun at 5 a.m. in the race organized by the Philippine Society of General Surgeons-Cebu and Eastern Visayas Chapter (PSGS-CEV).
The event will serve as one of the major highlights of the month-long celebration of the Pink October Month which aims spread awareness about breast cancer.
The footrace is also supported by the Icanserve Foundation and the Rotary Club of Cebu 3860 which will field in around a hundred runners.
The event will have three distances, the 12-kilometer, 6k and 3k.
There will be a medical students’ category in the 6k distance. There will also be a 6k Rotarians category along with a five-man group run in the 3k distance.
