Honda Motors unveils Gen S motorcycles
Honda Motors Philippines Inc. introduced its Gen S motorcycles during the 2016 Honda Riders Convention last Oct. 29 at the Hoopsdome in Lapu-Lapu City.
Around a thousand riders representing different Honda motorcycle clubs in Cebu converged to witness the unveiling of the new motorcycles, which was headed by Honda Motors Philippines Inc. president Daiki Mihara.
Leading the list of Gen S motorcycles launched was the all-new CBR 150R. Also unveiled were the Honda RS 150, Zoomer X 125 and the XRM 125 special edition, which is already available in the market.
“I think the Gen S motorcycles will be a big hit in the Philippine market, especially here in the Visayas and Mindanao area since these motorcycles are very good and well fit for Filipinos,” Mihara said.
Another big revelation made during the event was the plan to open the country’s first-ever Honda Flagship Shop in Cebu in December.
The shop will have its own 3S shop, coffee shop and driving course, where riders can test drive all of the available motorcycles of Honda.
Mihara also revealed that they sold 400,000 units last year, and they are very poised to exceed their target of 500,000 units for this year. He said the XRM 125 is the best-selling motorcycle of Honda in the country.
