Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla in Japan
ALJUR Abrenica and Kylie Padilla might have called it quits, but now they have found themselves in each other’s arms again two years after the breakup.
Last Nov. 4, Aljur confirmed to Pep.ph that he and the Kapuso actress are dating, following a photo he posted about their short vacation trip in Japan.
Aljur shared that even after two years since their break-up, they would meet up randomly and talk for hours until realizing that they still love each other.
“Now is the right time para officially makipagbalikan,” he said.
Kylie, who stars as Sang’gre Amihan in the hit primetime teleserye, “Encantadia,” dated two other guys after Aljur while the latter did not date anyone else after their breakup in 2014.
“What happened sa aming dalawa kasi, nung kami ni Kylie before, we’re full of ourselves. ’Yung sentro ng mundo ay nasa amin lang. And limited ’yung time namin, so busy, may kanya-kanya kaming trabaho.
And pag nagkikita kami, kami lang. In short, hindi kami nagkaroon ng panahon para mag-grow.
And then, exactly, mga bata pa kami nun,” said Aljur.
What he can promise to Kylie now that they are back together is he wants to “grow spiritually, emotionally, physically” and in all aspects of life, with her.
“What I can promise is… hanggang sa tumanda kami, hindi kami tatanda. Tatanda lang kami physically, but by heart, hindi,” he said.
“Sa lahat ng pinagdaanan, na-realize ko na masaya akong kasama ka,” he added.
Aside from Kylie, Aljur will have to talk to her family as well, including her dad, Robin Padilla.
“Whatever happened before, it’s in the past. And I’m presenting myself again, na I have to take care of his daughter,” said Aljur.
“And whatever me and Kylie agreed, we realized how much we miss and love each other. Two years na tiniis ko ’yun. Hindi naman siya talaga nawala,” he added.
Aljur, 26, and Kylie, 23, recently spent time together in Japan before the actor’s confirmation about the rekindled romance.
On his Instagram account, he posted two photos of him with Kylie, one of which bore the caption: “Di ako masyadong nakapagpost sa Japan dahil sinulit ko talaga oras ko kasama siya. Ito ang first ramen namin sa isa sa mga probinsya ng Japan.”
