The Parklane Para Tri Team was officially launched Wednesday afternoon at the Cebu Parklane International Hotel.
The team is composed of Alex Niño Silverio, Arnold Balais and Renato Rodriguez, all persons with disabilities.
The three aim to prove that disability is not a hindrance to sports. Beating disability through conquering races is the main goal for the Parklane Para Tri Team.
The team plans to recruit more PWD athletes to spread its advocacy.
Last August, the team placed seventh overall in the men’s relay division of the Cobra Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships in Mactan.
