CHARITY WORKER

A reporter interviewing a fire victim in a slum area in Cebu City was swarmed by other fire victims who thought he was a social worker listing the names of beneficiaries of cash aid.

Even if the reporter insisted that he was only a reporter, the victims continued to swarm around him, including kids.

MISFORTUNE

A girl was bent on saving up for Christmas, but recent events seemed to work against her.

She told a friend that she had to pay the bill in a lunch date with her boyfriend who “forgot” to bring his wallet.

She also had to pay for taxi fare when it began to rain and later had to buy an umbrella when she misplaced her old one. Her friend could only shake her head at her misfortune.

COFFEE FIX

A guy determined to get a 2017 planner from a coffee shop before the year ends sought ways to earn the required 18 stickers to win the prize.

He told his friend that he skips lunch so he could get his coffee fix and win the required number of stickers even if it means going to the mall every day.

His friend could only speculate how many cups of coffee he drank since the promo started.
