FOLLOWING their triumphant championship victory in indoor volleyball, reigning men’s beach volleyball champions University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars hope to carry the momentum as they begin their title-defense in the Cesafi beach volleyball tournament today at the Southwestern University (SWU) sand courts.

The Jaguars, who are led by Most Valuable Player Kent Jay Verbosidad, Alastair Gairanod and RA Tecson, will start their campaign today at 10 a.m. against the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF), which will be parading a new player in Dan Andrian Garnica along with old reliables Ryan Naranjo and Jason Reyes.

Also in the men’s division, the University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers battle the University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters.

In the distaff side, the USJ-R Lady Jaguars battle the USPF Lady Panthers.

In girls’ play, the reigning champions SWU Baby Cobras go up against UC while University of San Carlos takes on USPF.
