MAINE Mendoza might be one of the biggest names in the local entertainment industry, but she is like any other fan, who gets excited when it comes to her idols.
The Dubsmash Queen and the other half of the phenomenal loveteam, AlDub, has been very vocal about being a fan the British rock band Coldplay.
Last year, she even watched the band live during their concert in Los Angeles.
And it seems like this year, Maine has received the best gift any fan can get.
On her Instagram last Wednesday, Maine gushed over some “precious gifts” she received from none other than Coldplay’s lead vocals and keyboardist Chris Martin.
Maine shared that a friend named Ms. Mel got them for her when Chris flew via Etihad Airways. Chris was asked if he could write a message to Maine and the rockstar willingly granted the request.
“Okay, this has got to be one of the most PRECIOUS gifts I have ever received in my entire life. Uhm no biggie, just a fan message and a love button from Christ Martin,” she wrote sharing collage that contains the selfie of Chris, love button and the note.
“He immediately grabbed the airline’s dining table menu and wrote his short message in it (fun fact: she sat in the same seat as me when I flew to Morrocco) I was told that Chris voluntarily gave the love button—that he wears all the time—to the flight attendant (Ms. Mel’s friend) and asked her to hand it to ME,” Maine added.
She expressed her utter happiness and thanked Ms. Mel for the wonderful yet priceless surprise.
“Grabe hindi ko keri, I have never felt this special. Lol! Chris Martin might not know me at all but daaamn this is definitely #fangirlinggoals,” she wrote.
