Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña was brought to Chong Hua Hospital on Thursday after suffering from stomach pains since early morning.
In a text message sent to Cebu Daily News, his wife, Cebu City Councilor Margot Osmeña said they are suspecting that the leftover food, which Tomas brought from abroad, may have caused the cramps.
“Tommy had bad stomach pains early this morning. These may have been the result of eating leftover food last night which he brought from abroad that was not stored properly,” said Margot.
Tomas is expected to be discharged from the hospital on Friday.
