“MORE investors will come to Cebu.”

Melanie Ng, Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) president, said this after PNP Chief, Director General Ronaldo “Bato” dela Rosa assured Cebu businessmen of maintaining the peace and order in the country.

Dela Rosa was the speaker of the CCCI’s general membership meeting at the City Sports Club on Friday.

“If we’re assured of the peace and order situation, then more investors will come,” said Ng.

Last Friday, Dela Rosa also called on the business sector to help the government in its anti-criminality efforts.

He encouraged businessmen to support them and help them keep terrorists and rebels away from Cebu.

“If bad elements make it to Cebu, I don’t know what else can happen to the Philippines,” said Dela Rosa, who has looked up to Cebu since he was a child as the “center of everything” – from its geographic location to being a hub for trade and industry.
