Cebuanos to enjoy 3 holidays in August

Cebuanos will be enjoying three holidays for the whole month of August this year.

August 6 will be a special non-working holiday for entire Cebu Province in celebration of the 448th Cebu Provincial Charter Day.

The celebration falls on a Sunday, but those who will be working will receive 30 percent premium over their daily wages.

We are going to have two long weekends this month because August 21st and 28th holidays fall on a Monday.

On the 21st, the whole Philippines will commemorate the death of former senator and independence icon Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, Jr.

August 28, meanwhile, is the National Heroes Day. It is declared as a regular holiday pursuant to the Republic Act 9492. The celebration of the National Heroes Day falls on the last Monday of August.

We will have time to rest at home or go on leisure trips. Either way, enjoy!
