THE FIRST ever Binibining Cebu will be crowned on Oct. 28.
Among the ladies vying for the title are Jairah Mae Quilario of Poro and Therese Christine Llamada of San Francisco. Get to know more of these lovely candidates:
Jairah Mae Quilario
Age: 19
Town: Poro (Camotes Island)
Hobbies/Interests: reading books, badminton, traveling and internet surfing
School: B.S Psychology at University of San Jose-Recoletos
Titles: Miss Lakambini 2013, Miss Calamba 2015 & Face of the Youth 2017 1st runner up
AT FIRST, joining Binibining Cebu did not cross her mind but Jairah Mae Quilario totally trusts in God’s plan for her.
“Poro is a place not only for beautiful resorts but is also place for heritage and religious sites,” she said.
The town is the home of Buho Rock Resort and Panganuron Falls. The Sto. Niño Church in Poro is believed to be the oldest church in Camotes Island.
Therese Christine Llamada
Age: 24
Town: San Francisco (Camotes Island)
Hobbies/Interests: singing and playing the piano
Job: Nurse at University of Cebu Medical Center
Title: Miss Cebu 2013 1st runner up
AFTER she understood the advocacy of the pageant, Therese Christine Llamada decided to join Binibining Cebu.
Llamada is the official candidate for the town of San Francisco in Camotes Island.
“San Francisco, Camotes Island is a glimpse of heaven here on Earth,” she said.
The town is known for the pristine powdery white sand of Santiago Bay as well as the stalagmites and stalactites of Timubo Cave.
“The welcoming locals have always made a big impact of an individual’s perception of how life should be enjoyed,” she added.
