BINIBINING CEBU 2017: Miss Oslob and Miss Pilar

THE FIRST ever Binibining Cebu will be crowned on Oct. 28. Among the ladies vying for the title are Faith Perez of Oslob and Marjorie Campoamor of Pilar, Camotes. Get to know more about the lovely candidates:

Faith Perez

Age: 18

Town/City: Oslob

Hobbies/Interests: Reading, traveling, listening to music

Title: Miss Oslob 2016

Binibining Cebu is not Faith Perez’s first pageant, but she continues to polish her pageant skills—how to walk, pose and carry herself, especially since the grand coronation night is just a month a way.

Perez wears the sash for the municipality of Oslob, a town in southeastern Cebu.

“In Oslob, one can find peace and solitude. It’s a place where love can be felt everywhere you go,” she said.

The town is home to popular attractions like the shifting sandbar of Sumilon island, whalesharks, and Tumalog Falls.

“I’d use social media to promote my place because I can reach billions of people all over the world with one click,” she said.

Marjorie Campoamor

Age: 21

Town/City: Pilar

Hobbies/Interests: Singing, dancing, surfing, cooking and reading novels

School: Tourism Management at Cebu Institute of Technology-University

Titles: Binibining Toledo Tourism 2015, Miss Calendar Cebu 2015, Miss Summer Bodies 2017, Miss Masbate 2016 1st runner-up, Miss Ozamiz Summer Bodies 2016, Miss Talamban 2015 1st runner-up, Miss Sandugo Festival Queen 2017 2nd runner-up and Miss Tourism Cebu 2017 2nd runner-up

Marjorie Campoamor thinks that while an extensive pageant experience is an advantage, more important is how one conducts herself and promotes her hometown.

Campoamor is the official candidate for the town of Pilar in Camotes Island for Binibining Cebu.

A nice tropical hideaway in Pilar is the Moabog Reef and Resort. She said visitors can also enjoy the town’s scenic beauty and meet friendly and hospitable people.
