Team 6 tops PSB-Cebu Chapter team bowling tilt

THE newly formed Philippine Senior Bowlers (PSB) Cebu Chapter conducted a four-man team competition last Sunday to serve as a dry-run for a bigger tournament, the inaugural PSC-Cebu 50 Eliminator Challenge 2017 slated Nov. 21 to 25 at the Gaisano Bowlingplex.

The four-man tournament last Sunday saw Team Six dominate the four-round series competition by scoring a total of 3,387 pinfalls.

The team is composed of the reigning BTA Sinulog Open masters champion Aui Padawan along with senior bowlers Celis Viloria, Nestor Ranido and George Tesch.

Padawan downed 830 pins while Viloria had 850 pinfalls. Ranido downed 871 and Tesch finished with 836 pinfalls.

Team 8 manned by Clarence Tiu, Inday Aguilar, Vivian Padawan and Arthur Tapaya placed second with 3,337 total pinfalls while Team 9 of Xyrra Cabusas, Luther Tapaya, Clifford Tan and Bede Llano rounded off the top three teams with 3,303 pinfalls.

The mentioned teams received cash prizes from PSB-Cebu chapter.

The PSB-Cebu 50 Eliminator Challenge 2017 is a national tournament expected to draw more than a hundred senior bowlers aged 50 above.

The national tournament is organized by PSB-Cebu chapter headed by president Edgar “Egay” Alqueza, who also revealed that they will also invite bowling legend Rafael “Paeng” Nepomuceno to compete.
