As the remains of lawyer Jonnah John Ungab will be laid to rest in their family’s private mausoleum in Ronda town, Cebu, Rondahanons pay their last respect for their town vice mayor.

SPO4 Roger Incipido, deputy chief of Ronda Police Station, told reporters that a crowd of over 2,000 people flocked the Our Lady of Sorrows Parish to attend the requiem mass.

In his homily, Fr. Roland Angel Anthony Torres urged the public to pray not only for the soul of Ungab but also for the enlightenment of the perpetrators.

Ungab, who served as the counsel of self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa was shot dead inside his vehicle on Monday morning.

Two assailants riding-in-tandem on a motorcycle are now subject for identification and arrest by the police authoritites.
