AWARD-winning and former Cebu-based actress Chai Fonacier will soon be part of an ABS-CBN teleserye.
Actor Christian Bables confirmed on his Facebook fan page that he and Fonacier are part of the cast of the TV series with the working title “Ang Halik Mo.” It will be headlined by Jericho Rosales, Sam Milby, Yen Santos, Yam Concepcion, and Hero Angeles.
“Two of the best in their generation! Barbs and Jude Eat Marie! Now Barry and Chari of the upcoming teleserye, #Halik. Soon in ABS-CBN Primetime Bida,” the post reads.
The post was also shared by Bables’ personal account.
Fonacier also shared the same post on her Facebook page on Sunday and said, “Hihihi yey!”
Fonacier has won several acting awards, including Best Supporting Actress for the short film “Operation Prutas,” one of the entries to the 2015 Sinulog Film Festival.
That same year, she also won the Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Cinema One Originals film “Miss Bulalacao.”
Last year, Fonacier was named Best Supporting
Actress during the Film Academy of the Philippines’ 35th Luna Awards.
She won the award for her role as Jude (or Judith Marie) in the Bisaya film,
“Patay na si Hesus” directed by Cebuano filmmaker Fatrick Tabada.
This year, Fonacier has two acting nominations in separate award-giving awards.
She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards and the Gawad Urian 2018 for the film, “Respeto.”
