EXPECT more action scenes in GMA

Network’s upcoming primetime series, “Victor Magtanggol.”

Lead star Alden Richards has undergone parkour training as part of his preparations for the teleserye.

In an interview aired on the “Chika Minute” segment of the network’s news program “24 Oras” last Thursday, the 26-year-old actor confirmed that aside from his daily workout, he has decided to take up parkour training as well.

“I’m doing parkour now para may ma i-offer tayong bago sa mga action scenes,” he said in an interview with reporter Audrey Carampel.

The Merriam Webster dictionary defines parkour as a “sport of traversing environmental obstacles by running, climbing, or leaping rapidly and efficiently.”

During the interview, Richards also said parkour is the perfect skill to learn and use as he will be playing a superhero.

Meanwhile, newest Kapuso actor John Estrada has been confirmed to be part of what is touted as GMA’s biggest project for the year.

This will be Estrada’s first major project after he transferred to the Kapuso network last month.

Although this is the first time for the two actors to work together, Estrada said it felt that he has already known Richards for a long time.

“Parang matagal na kaming magkakilala. I feel really blessed na nakasama ako dito sa proyekto na ito,” said Estrada, whose role in the series has yet to be announced.

“Very excited ako to do scenes with him,” Richards said.
