CEBU CITY, Philippines — Owners of The Good Cup Coffee Company are now requesting help from the police not only to identify and capture the gunman that killed their head barista and cashier but also to provide security detail for their two employees who survived the deadly ordeal.
Police Major Eduard Sanchez, Fuente Police Station chief, said one of the owners of the coffee shop approached their office, and expressed concern on the security of their two workers, Jerome Amada and Sherwin Rivera.

Amada and Rivera survived the incident but sustained gunshot wounds on their shoulders. Both are now confined in a hospital for treatment.
“They are requesting for security detail sa hospital kung aha sila na confine,” said Sanchez.

Sanchez, however, refused to divulge further details in order not to preempt follow-up operations and the ongoing investigation.
John Michael Hermoso and Kis Ramos died after an unidentified assailant gunned them down. Hermoso and Ramos both received two gunshot wounds.
Hermoso, 29, was an award-winning barista, and also a co-owner of The Good Cup Coffee Company. He was declared dead on the spot.

Meanwhile, Ramos, a 21-year-old graduating student from the University of the Philippines Cebu (UP Cebu), was rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival./dbs
