Governor’s Cup crossover semifinal round starts Tuesday
Cebu City, Philippines—Fans of the 2019 Governor’s Cup basketball tournament will not have to wait too long to find out which teams will advance to the championship round as the do-or-die crossover semifinals starts on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at the Talisay City Sports Complex.
Bracket B top seed and reigning champions Talisay City Aquastars will be taking on Bracket A second seed Balamban in a game set at 7 p.m.

The following day, May 1, Bracket A top seed Mandaue City will be duking it out against Bracket B second seed, Minglanilla, at 7 p.m. at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.
The winners of these matches will do battle in Game 1 of a best-of-three series on Friday, May 3, at a yet-to-be-determined venue.
The champion team of this annual competition organized by the Cebu Provincial Sports Commission will pocket a whopping P500,000. /bmjo
