Other types of evidence should be used to prosecute cases of child abuse, Cebu Asst. Prosecutor Ma. Liza Jorda said at a luncheon held on her honor in the US Embassy in Manila.

Jorda said these evidence would spare minor victims the ordeal of having to relive their experiences through verbal testimonies.

Jorda received the Aquino Fellowship Award for Public Services for her work in human trafficking cases in Tacloban City. She traveled to the US to observe best practices in prosecuting child and women abuse cases. Ballsy Aquino Cruz presented the award to Jorda with US ambassador Philip S. Goldberg.
