The San Beda Lions try to put their stamp as the most dominant collegiate basketball squad in the country today as they seek to sweep the reigning Philippine Collegiate Champions La Salle Green Archers in Game 2 of the best-of-three finals at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Meanwhile, Cebu’s University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors and the University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers tangle for third place today at 2 p.m. right before the title clash.

USC booked a slot in the third place game after finishing the Elite Eight stage with a 3-1 (win-loss) card while UV went the long route and got some help from Far Eastern University as both finished with an even 2-2 mark. UV got through because of its better quotient.
San Beda emerged victorious in Game 1 88-81, behind the 20 points, seven rebounds and two blocks of Ola Adeogun and the 19 of Baser Amer. Dan Sara and Art dela Cruz added 15 and 14, respectively.

A total of P1 million worth of scholarship and athletic items plus a bronze sculpture perpetual trophy will go to the champion team of this annual tournament that pits the top collegiate teams in the country.
